One critically hurt in Goddard crash

Two people suffered injuries in a late Sunday morning crash in Goddard.

The accident took place around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of westbound Kellogg and Crowne Drive.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says a car was stopped at a red light when a pickup truck rear-ended it.

As deputies were headed to the scene, they were told the 83-year-old woman who was driving the car was receiving CPR on the scene from a bystander. When EMS arrived, the woman became alert and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The 80-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. The 53-year-old driver of the pickup was uninjured.
