FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) – On Thursday afternoon, a female manatee stranded on a sand bar in Fort Pierce, Florida was rescued and relocated back into the water. The U.S. Coast Guard Station Fort Pierce team stated that their partners at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission called them to help rescue a 9.5-foot manatee stranded on a sandbar.
