VIDEO: Suspect flees from multiple car crash in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It was a major mess back in May at an Albuquerque intersection after a local man reportedly ran from police.

Newly released footage shows what happened when officers tried to track him down after he slammed into another car.

Law enforcement worker: “Dude, I have no information of what happened at all.”

A police service aide arrived at the frontage road near I-40 and 6th Street in the middle of May to help people involved in a multi-car crash.

APD officers were chasing 22-year-old Sean Ray, who they claimed hit a black car, causing two other cars to collide right beside the first crash.

People at the scene : “The reason we came over here, ’cause after we got hit, there were so many vehicles, I wanted to get out of the way.”

Law enforcement worker: “No, yeah. It’s good that you guys got over ’cause they had weapons and stuff. That’s why no one was here just yet to get you guys’ statement. ‘Cause the scene wasn’t safe yet, and they’re still trying to track him down right now.”
