The Princeton Review praises the College of Charleston as a top college choice

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – For the 21st consecutive year, the College of Charleston has been recognized as one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate students by The Princeton Review.

The college has been featured in the company’s annual college guide, The Best 390 Colleges: 2025 Edition, further cementing its reputation as a top choice for students seeking a high-quality liberal arts education.

The Princeton Review lauds the College of Charleston for offering a mid-sized liberal arts experience to its 10,000 undergraduates, all within the vibrant and historic city of Charleston. This unique combination of academic rigor and cultural immersion makes the institution stand out among its peers.

One student at the College of Charleston shared that “professors are supportive and help students find opportunities through networking and general encouragement,” highlighting the faculty’s commitment to student success.

The Princeton Review selects colleges for its guide based on data gathered from surveys of 2,000 college administrators, as well as feedback from students attending the schools. Only about 14% of America’s 2,700 four-year colleges are included in the publication, making this an elite distinction.
