BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A building in downtown Bakersfield is burning and firefighters have shutdown surrounding streets.

The fire was reported to a building at 19th and N streets at around 1:12 p.m. Multiple firefighters have been called and are just arriving at the scene.
Traffic is slowed in nearby areas. Avoid the area if possible.
