On August 30, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors opened the remaining segment of the new third lane on Interstate 85 northbound from US 129 to US 441. This opening comes just in time for the expected heavy travel during the Labor Day period. Throughout August, the project team has steadily brought segments of the project online as they reached completion.
