San Jose fixer-upper hits market for nearly $1.4M with a plethora of much-needed repairs

( KRON ) — A San Jose house is listed for $1,388,000, according to a Redfin listing . It has three bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms across 1,592 square feet.

However, there’s a catch.

The current condition of the house likely doesn’t make this the most desirable — given its hefty price tag. It’s probably not one you want to sleep in upon move-in. Photos on the property’s Redfin listing show the house is worn down with a plethora of needed renovations.

The home is located at 1366 Curtiss Ave., which is about five miles away from the airport and Westfield Valley Fair. Redfin real estate agent Ted Chen tells KRON4 that a listing like this in the Willow Glen area is not as unusual as it seems.

Chen said longtime homeowners sell their homes without going through renovations. He attributes the price to builders who place high value on the land and its location. Prospective homebuyers can either remodel the home or tear it down completely and rebuild.
