CHILLICOTHE, Mo. (KOAM) — An inmate at Chillicothe Women’s Prison from southwest Missouri has died according to officials.
Connie Sanders-Ford , 74, of Fairview, Mo. was declared deceased shortly after 5 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2024. She was serving a life sentence for shooting and killing a Granby, Mo. man, John Jordan , 58, after he had ended their relationship.

Jordan was married and had an ongoing affair with Sanders-Ford but he had decided to work things out with his wife of 40 years.
Some compared the crime to a fatal attraction. The killer repeatedly violated protection orders, showing up at the Jordan residence, confronting his wife and son. She eventually shot at killed her ex-lover at the front door of his home.
The elderly death is thought to be of natural causes.

2016 LIFE SENTENCE FOR MURDER
McDONALD COUNTY, Mo. (AP/2016) — Circuit Judge Tim Perigo sentenced Connie Sanders-Ford, 66, after her conviction for first-degree murder.
