WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The City of Wichita is one vote away from finding a permanent winter homeless shelter. On Tuesday, the council will vote on the purchase agreement to obtain Park Elementary School from Wichita Public Schools. The goal is to transform the school into the city’s new multi-agency center which will also house its permanent winter homeless shelter.
