Florida State fans might owe ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit an apology after their team fell to 0-2 to start the year.
The Seminoles entered the season ranked No. 10 but have dropped games to unranked Georgia Tech and Boston College in back-to-back weeks to open the year.
Herbstreit has become a polarizing figure among Seminoles fans after strongly advocating for Florida State’s exclusion from last year’s College Football Playoff. Turns out, Herbstreit might have been right all along.
“FSU fans owe Kirk Herbstreit an apology,” one fan wrote . “Yall getting tossed around by Boston College?!”
Others had similar thoughts about what Florida State fans should do.
“Kirk Herbstreit deserves an apology, Seminoles fans,” another said .
A different voice added to the conversation with a similar take: “The Florida State fanbase owes a huge apology to Kirk Herbstreit.”
Some called it karma for all the grief FSU fans dished out on Herbstreit.
“FSU moaned and complained all offseason long, they blame Kirk Herbstreit, and they are now 0-2, Karma,” the fan said .
