Battle Creek PD: Woman arrested, accused of stabbing boyfriend

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say a woman has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend during an argument in Battle Creek.

Just before 1 a.m. Monday, the Battle Creek Police Department responded to an apartment on the 5200 block of Horizon Drive near Skyview Lane, according to a release from the department.

Police say they found the victim, a 30-year-old man, “with a stab wound below his right chest.” He was treated on scene and taken to the hospital.

The suspect, identified as the victim’s 21-year-old girlfriend, had fled the scene, the release says.

She was found later at a different residence, arrested and taken to jail, according to BCPD.

Police say the man is in stable condition.
