SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Ozarks Food Harvest recognizes Hunger Action Month in September to raise awareness and money for hunger in southwest Missouri. “This is a nationwide campaign that we do in conjunction with Feeding America. For us, it’s all about raising awareness about the issue of hunger, specifically here within southwest Missouri, as well as trying to raise more money for our backpack program, which is our most expensive Direct Relief Program here at Ozarks Food Harvest,” said Jordan Browning, director of communications for Ozarks Food Harvest.
