North Pacific Low arrives Wednesday

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A mix of sunshine and showers will remain in the forecast for parts of southcentral heading through Tuesday. The big system that will bring in rain and gusty winds is a low in the North Pacific. The storm is steadily churning north and will rotate into the southern coastal areas and southeast Alaska Wednesday. While the storm advances north, another disturbance swings off the Kamchatka Peninsula pushes across the Aleutians and Bering Sea. This area of energy will merge with the north pacific low and continue to cycle across the state the rest of the week.
