PD: 1 arrested after woman stabbed in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman was arrested after another woman was stabbed and injured during a fight in Battle Creek Monday night.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Capital Avenue south of Beckley Road. The Battle Creek Police Department says when officers got there, witnesses told them someone had been stabbed, but the victim was gone.

The victim, a 24-year-old Battle Creek woman, soon showed up at a hospital with a stab wound to the forehead.

Authorities say after speaking with her and investigating, officers learned there had been a “dispute” that “turned physical.”

They arrested a 37-year-old woman. She was jailed on an assault charge. Her name was not released Tuesday morning.
