According to an affidavit filed by a Columbus police detective who is assigned full-time to a task force with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, one kilogram of cocaine has a street value of $30,000.

The affidavit states that on Aug. 30, 2024, the DEA received a tip that a known narcotics supplier from Arkansas had touched down in Columbus. On Sept. 2, DEA agents followed the supplier to Columbus’ West Side, where they say they saw the supplier meet with Miranda, who was driving a blue Ford Escape.

Miranda then left the area, according to the affidavit, which does not say if Miranda and the supplier exchanged any money or drugs when they met.
