Meet Max: Dunn PD’s new K-9

Dunn Police Department added a new K-9 officer to its ranks when a Belgian malinois named Max and his handler graduated from training on Friday. “Please join us in welcoming K-9 Max to our team,” the agency announced on its Facebook page Aug. 30. “Today, Officer Cody Chavis and K-9 Max graduated from K-9 Handler school after eight weeks of intensive training to prepare them to patrol, and take criminals off the streets of Dunn. K-9 Max is trained in tracking, apprehension, and narcotics detection.”
