Renovation Time: The Wharf Fort Lauderdale to Close Its Doors Temporarily

If you’ve been a fan of The Wharf, get ready for some big changes coming your way. The popular open-air entertainment venue that’s been a go-to spot on Las Olas Boulevard since 2019 is about to undergo a major transformation. But don’t worry—it’s all for the better.

The Wharf Fort Lauderdale Gets a Makeover

The Wharf Fort Lauderdale, which started as a pop-up location, is closing its doors after Labor Day weekend. But before you get too bummed out, know that this is just the beginning of something new and exciting. Breakwater Hospitality Group, the Miami-based company behind The Wharf, announced that they’re turning the spot into a permanent destination. The renovations will include replacing the beloved food trucks with fixed food stations, adding new bar areas, and spicing things up with fresh entertainment options and coastal decor. According to Emi Guerra, co-founder of Breakwater Hospitality Group, the goal is to create a space that’s even more vibrant and full of life—a true gathering spot for the community.
