LANSING, N.Y. – A Syracuse man was arrested in Tompkins County Sunday for fleeing from New York State Police with two children in the backseat. On Sunday at approximately 6:13 p.m., a trooper on Peruville Road in the Town of Lansing observed a vehicle speeding and attempted to initiate a traffic stop but the vehicle failed to comply. The driver continued to accelerate his speed and make numerous vehicle and traffic violations in an attempt to evade the trooper.
