Neighbor describes evacuations during hours-long standoff in southeast OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police were involved in an intense Labor Day standoff with a man who they say fired multiple times at officers in a southeast Oklahoma City neighborhood. The situation unfolded Monday afternoon and into the night at a home near Southeast 41st Street and Shields Boulevard. Police thought neighbors might have been in danger, so they were escorted from their houses by officers.
