Chicken restaurant, Chick N Max eyeing Tallahassee for expansion

Another chicken joint, Chick N Max, self-dubbed as the “home of the better chicken sandwich,” is looking to hatch in Tallahassee.

In a release sent to the Tallahassee Democrat Friday, the Wichita, Kansas-based eatery said its goal is to open three restaurants and provide 75 jobs in the capital city.

There is no set timeline released. The interest in the Tallahassee expansion is part of the company’s ultimate goal to reach the Southeast regions of the United States market.

“Southeastern markets like those across Florida boast a well-established fast-casual chicken restaurant market, and we’re aiming to establish a strong presence of our own and capture market share,” said Jeff Frahm, Chick N Max’s vice president of franchise sales and development.

Its current locations are in Kansas, South Dakota and Texas.

Other Florida cities on the company’s radar include Miami, St. Petersburg, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa.
