TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida resident has been selected as a semi-finalist in the 2024 NASCAR Powerball Playoff.
Kevin Weber, of Bradenton, is among 15 other players competing to win two tickets to the 2024 NASCAR Championship weekend at Phoenix Raceway, according to the Florida Lottery.
Weber has also been entered to win $1 million.
The semi-finalist will be apart of an elimination drawing that is similar to the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
The expected NASCAR Powerball Playoff drawings will be:
- Round of 12 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sept. 21
- Round of 8 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct. 13
- Championship 4 at Martinsville Speedway on Nov. 3
- $1 Million Championship at Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 10
Each participant is guaranteed a cash prize with amounts increasing as the competition moves forward, according to the Florida Lottery.
The NASCAR Powerball Playoff ran from July 1 through July 31. Weber was among 50 other Florida residents to enter the national drawing.
