Judy Lowe Neighborhood Park near JD Vance’s home reopening on ‘modified schedule’

ALEXANDRIA, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Judy Lowe Neighborhood Park near JD Vance’s home has reopened on a “modified schedule” after being closed following a request from the United States Secret Service (USSS).

The park, which is located at 1 & 7 E. Del Ray Ave. , was initially closed on Aug. 25, with several restrictions for the surrounding area.

On Aug. 31, the park reopened on a new schedule with “intermittent closures until further notice,” according to the City of Alexandria.

During this temporary schedule, the status of the park and street will be communicated daily on the city’s Judy Lowe Neighborhood Park webpage and through signage at the park entrance.

When the park is open, residents will have access to it via Commonwealth Avenue, and the unit block of E. Del Ray Avenue will be open.

However, no on-street parking will be allowed on the unit block of E. Del Ray Avenue until further notice.
