Onondaga County jail plans renovations to comply with state solitary confinement rules

Syracuse, N.Y. – The state jail watchdog last week ordered the downtown Syracuse jail to provide inmates in solitary confinement with out-of-cell time mandated by state law. Leaders at the Onondaga County Justice Center jail say they are aware of the problem and have a plan to fix it.
