Downtown Salem streets reopen after train crash with pedestrian

Several streets were closed near downtown Salem on Wednesday morning after a collision involving a train and a pedestrian, Salem Police said.

The collision was reported at about 7 a.m. at 12th Street SE and Marion Street NE.

Police reported the train was moving again just after 9:30 a.m.

Eastbound and westbound traffic was closed from Mill Street SE to D Street NE.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital.
