Palm Beach luncheon honors longtime supporter while shining a light on visual impairment.

Longtime Palm Beach resident Maria Beaudouin was honored when the friends and supporters of Lighthouse For the Blind gathered at the organization’s Palm Beach Luncheon.

The third annual event t ook place March 21 at the Sailfish Club.

Mary-Lee Widder was chairwoman for the afternoon, which included a social hour, teacup auction, lunch, and the recognition of the honoree for her decades of support and commitment to growing the impact of the Lighthouse and its mission.

The afternoon also included a tribute to the late Dr. David Cano, who died in September 2023. The longest-tenured board member with 23 years of service at the time of his death, Cano’s wife, Dr. Lauree Manning , and his sons Robert and Andrew accepted a plaque honoring his service.

A violin duet performed during the luncheon.

Beaudouin was honorary chairwoman.

Committee members included Roshan Massoumi, Page Ferrell, Martina Covarrubias, S. Jane Rose, Randi Radin, Whitney Erasmus and Jaime Libbe .
