Albuquerque resident sentenced to 2 years in prison for deadly 2023 hit and run

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The person responsible for a deadly hit-and-run last year will spend two years behind bars. Police said a driver of a red Ford Focus was driving near Constitution and Louisiana in July of 2023 when they hit and killed a pedestrian before taking off.

The car was registered to Christopher Trammell III who now identifies as Tara Trammell . They reported their car missing the following day. In May, they pled guilty to leaving the scene of a crash and tampering with evidence. The homicide by vehicle charges were dropped. Trammell was sentenced to two years in jail.
