How Can Jack Driscoll Help Eagles as Backup O-Lineman?

Over the last few seasons, the Philadelphia Eagles have had one of the deepest groups of offensive linemen in football.

That isn’t the case going into 2024, though.

With numerous free-agent losses and one All-Pro retiring, the Eagles have been hit hard, and have tried to find quality depth along the line to minimize the threat of injuries throughout the incoming season.

That includes reuniting with one of their former role players over the last few seasons.

Jack Driscoll, a former fourth-round pick from the 2020 draft signed with the Miami Dolphins in free agency, but was released as a part of cutdown day last week. Now, he’s back with the Eagles practice squad as he gets up to speed with the changes to their offensive philosophy.

As role players go, Driscoll is pretty solid. He has started 17 games in his career while appearing in 54. That’s quality depth at both tackle and guard that the Eagles can utilize this season.

Philadelphia’s top backups this season include Fred Johnson, a rookie in Trevor Keegan, Tyler Steen, and Darian Kinnard.
