Inter Miami unveils first look at new stadium as Lionel Messi has new retirement date

Inter Miami have unveiled the first images of their new stadium which is expected to be the home of Lionel Messi for at least one season before he calls time on his illustrious career.

On Wednesday, Inter Miami took to social media to grant fans an insight into the future of the club . The Herons released new renderings of Miami Freedom Park and plan to play home matches at the 25,000-seat soccer-specific stadium beginning in 2026.

Since entering MLS in 2020, Inter Miami has played games at Chase Stadium in nearby Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The club’s exceptional $60 million training facility, the Florida Blue Training Centre, is in the area – but David Beckham ’s club is finally set to move to Miami proper.

“The next stages of the Miami Freedom Park project bring us closer to reaching our dream of making it the official home of Inter Miami CF,” said managing owner Jorge Mas. “Embodying our ethos of ‘Freedom to Dream,’ we’ve been diligently building something extraordinary – a place where every fan will cherish unforgettable futbol moments.
