Florida woman spends $5, wins $1 million lottery prize

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Another Florida woman took home a big prize from the state lottery after making a purchase at her local grocery store.

According to the Florida Lottery, Soignese Youte, 54, of Miramar claimed a $1 million from the $5 Monopoly Doubler Scratch-off game.

Youte bought the winning ticket from the Le Phare Food Market at 16784 Northeast 2nd Avenue in North Miami Beach.

The Miramar resident chose to take home her winnings as a one-time payment of $798,985. The store will also get a $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.

The Monopoly Doubler game has one remaining top prize of $1 million left, according to the Florida Lottery website. When the game originally launched, it had 12 top prizes.
