Fire damages abandoned tire shop on Central Ave. in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque firefighters put out a fire early Wednesday morning at an abandoned tire shop. Albuquerque Fire Rescue received word about the fire on Central Ave. near the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden just before 5:30 a.m.

Employees at an Albuquerque senior center help save a life

Damage was mostly contained to the southeast corner of the building. The cause of the fire is still unclear but AFR said there were signs of squatting in a neighboring building. They said code enforcement put a yellow tag on the buildings and people caught staying inside will be removed.
