The department shared the following photos of the vessel as it was being removed. According to the post, Marine Detail and Pitts & Sons Towing and Recovery worked to remove the vessel from the water.

The vessel was then destroyed at SA Recycling, according to the post. Police said that this is important as it had been previously abandoned at the mouth of Perch Creek.

“At that time, the Mobile Police Department’s Marine Detail was able to identify the owner of the vessel who took control of it to find a suitable mooring site,” the post explained.
