RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Folk Festival has announced the full schedule of performances that attendees can expect to see in September.
The festival will be held from Friday, Sept. 27 through Sunday, Sept. 29, and is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Admission to the festival is free.
Friday, September 27
Altria Stage:
- 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tremé Brass Band (New Orleans brass band)
- 7:45 – 8:45 p.m. John Doyle & the Irish American Music Masters (Irish)
- 9 – 10 p.m. Bombino (Tuareg guitar)
CoStar Group Stage:
- 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. Wayne Henderson & Friends (Appalachian finger-picked guitar)
- 8:45 – 9:45 p.m. Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino (Southern Italian pizzica tarantata )
CarMax Stage:
- 7:15 – 8:15 p.m. Lonnie Holley (Afro-futuristic jazz, funk, and soul)
- 8:30 – 9:45 p.m. Rancho Aparte (Colombian chirimía music)
Dominion Energy Dance Pavilion:
- 7:15 – 7:45 p.m. Cajun dance lesson with Richard Day
