Learn about home health and safety while touring vacant Syracuse house

Syracuse, N.Y. – Residents can get some home health and safety lessons from Syracuse code enforcement staff at a free tour of a vacant house in the city. The annual Healthy Housing 101 event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at 301 W. Colvin St. The four-bedroom home, owned and marketed for sale/renovation by the Greater Syracuse Land Bank, will serve as a demonstration site for city staff to discuss the code enforcement process and how to address violations, and how to keep homes safe and healthy.
