Watchdog: Pembroke Park commissioner, as mayor, ‘unlawfully’ chartered yacht with town money

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – In a report released Thursday, Broward County’s watchdog agency concluded that Pembroke Park Commissioner Geoffrey Jacobs, while serving as mayor, engaged in “misconduct” when he “unlawfully” spent more than $10,000 in taxpayer money on a yacht charter for town officials and employees. His attorney is blasting the report as “petty and stupid.”
