The Tenneessee Volunteers will travel for the game tomorrow evening, but the rest of Knoxville can have fun around here beforehand.
The game against NC State starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, but it will be in Charlotte, North Carolina , instead of the Wolfpacks’ home stadium in Raleigh. Unless they’re traveling for the game, Vols fans will watch it televised either at home or at a bar in Knoxville.
Luckily, several other events are happening in Knoxville to kill time before the second game this season, starting with the Tennessee Valley Fair . The fair starts today and goes until Sept. 15 at Chilhowee Park at 3301 East Magnolia Ave. The fair has rides, fair food, concerts, attractions and action sports including a tractor pull on Saturday.
The 11th annual Knox Asian Festival starts Saturday with a VIP event at 6 p.m. with a ninja show, a drum show and an Indian Dance. Tickets for the VIP show are $25 and include a T-shirt and access to the main festival Sunday , which starts at 10:30 a.m. in World’s Fair Park.
