A person has barricaded themselves in the Superior Pawn & Gun shop in Hampton.
When Hampton Police officers arrived following reports of a robbery, they saw a suspect outside the business, who then retreated inside.

Police say West Mercury Boulevard eastbound and westbound lanes between N. Kings Street and LaSalle Avenue are closed.
Police have created a perimeter and are still on scene as of 9:45 a.m.
Superior Pawn & Gun is home to Hampton’s only public indoor shooting range, according to its website. They also offer firearms training courses.
