Calling all pet owners, Woofstock 2024 is happening Oct. 5

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Woofstock 2024 is almost here!

Every year, the Kansas Humane Society hosts a fundraising event and festival known as Woofstock. This year’s goal is to raise $240,000 to help Wichita’s homeless and abandoned animals.

Woofstock 2024 will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. at Sedgwick County Park, 6501 W. 21st St.

Rain or shine, thousands of pet owners, their pets, and animal enthusiasts attend its festivities, which include the Woof Walk & Breakfast, stage contests, a beer garden, vendor booths, food trucks, life music, ruff races, a dog agility course, a kid’s play clinic, a photo booth, live demonstrations from the Wichita Police Department’s K9 unit, and more.

Clear The Shelters: Pets offered for reduced fees

Beginning Sept. 16 at 9 a.m., pet owners can also enter the Woofstock Photo Contest. Entries will be accepted until Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. There is a $5 entry fee.

In addition to the events, the community can volunteer, fundraise or simply donate to the Kansas Humane Society.
