Spokane AIDS Walk to focus on empowerment and community

SPOKANE, Wash. – The annual Spokane AIDS Walk will take place on Sept. 21 this year with a focus on empowering those living with HIV and AIDS. Spokane’s AIDS Network was founded in 1985 by Spokane County Health District members who were concerned with the lack of national and local support systems for people dying of AIDS. It continues to serve as a community advocacy group that promotes inclusivity of people living with HIV and AIDS, the LGBTQ+ community and sexual education.
