ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – For one last time this summer, you can take your dog for a day at an Albuquerque city pool. The city’s Parks and Rec Department will host its Rio Grande Doggy Paddle on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., then again from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Barelas Senior Center holds fiesta for first time since COVID-19 pandemic
Both sessions are sold out but some walk-ins will be accepted. Tickets cost $5 per dog and vaccination records are required. Owners can join their dogs in the pool but there is no recreational swimming for the general public. The Parks and Rec Department said the doggy paddle is a popular event so those interested should show up early.
