Greenbelt in Harrisburg could shift due to proposed homeless veteran housing

HARRISBURG, Pa. – A proposed housing project for homeless veterans in Harrisburg could affect the future path of a popular recreational trail in South Harrisburg. The Tunnels to Towers Foundation is planning to build a 64-unit apartment building for homeless veterans, along with 20 “Comfort Homes” on 8.5 acres of land south of PennDOT’s headquarters along the Susquehanna River.
