Did Chiefs Beat Ravens Due to Derrick Henry Mistake?

SEPT 7 NOPE Did the Baltimore Ravens opened the 2024 NFL season with a 27-20 loss to the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs because they underused their new vet running back Derrick Henry?

That’s the assertion being made by some. And it’s wrong.

In his debut with his new team, Henry ran 13 times for 46 yards and a touchdown. … but his work largely came early. Should the Ravens have used him in the late-going? Why? QB Lamar Jackson didn’t need a running back … he needed more accuracy in his clutch-time throws – and one more inch of end zone – as the Ravens ended up losing when Isaiah Likely caught the ball in the back of the end zone as time expired but his toe landed just out of bounds, meaning the pass (first ruled a TD) was incomplete.

SEPT 7 BOYCOTT? Before the Week 1 kickoff between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night, Grammy Award winner Tasha Cobbs took the stage at Arrowhead to perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing” … the song has been considered the “Black National Anthem.”
