CSPD mourns the loss of retired K9 Diesel

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) K9 Unit is mourning the passing of 14-year-old Diesel, a retired K9 who served the city from 2012 to 2019, according to a Facebook post on Friday, Sept. 6.

According to CSPD, Diesel spent an incredible career with his handler Lt. Brian Cummings as a narcotics detection and patrol apprehension dog. Condolences go out to the Cummings family in their time of loss.

CSPD stated, “Thank you for your service canine Diesel, we have the watch from here!”
