FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Fort Wayne residents will soon be able to celebrate their culture and heritage across the city. Welcoming Week returns to Fort Wayne next week.
Welcoming Fort Wayne, an initiative of Amani Family Services, along with community partners will offer Welcoming Week September 13 – 22. Keiara Carr with Amani Family Services stopped by WANE 15 to share what Welcoming Week is all about and the goal of the initiative. You can see that in the interview above.
Welcoming Week will feature several diverse events for all ages and backgrounds, such as the Annual Welcoming Fort Wayne Awards which recognizes people who promote a welcoming community immigrants and refugees. You can find information on how to register and the events that will take place here .
