Kroger’s peanut butter drive continues through September 17 in Richmond, Virginia

According to Henrico Citizen, Kroger Grocery Stores team up with suppliers and customers every year for its annual peanut butter drive to help food banks across the Mid-Atlantic region, including Richmond, Virginia.

The six-year-old drive began in August and continues through September 17 for customers to donate peanut butter of any brand to the food banks at the front of their Kroger.

September donations

All donations made during September will go directly to the local food bank partners to help them replenish their shelves with peanut butter, which is an essential item.

James Menees, Corporate Affairs Manager at Kroger Mid-Atlantic, said:

“Kroger customers really shine when it comes to giving back. The sight of overflowing bins is a testament to a community’s commitment to supporting neighbors in need.”

Customers may also donate by rounding up their payment at the register, using self-checkout registers, or scanning a coupon above the card reader to activate the donation option.
