To hear the residents of tree-lined Laurel Street in Conway tell it, Vaught Eye Associates wants to take away their paradise by putting in a parking lot. A succession of residents as young as age 9 told the Conway Planning Commission on Thursday, Sept. 5, that the zoning change necessary to put a parking lot behind the eye surgery center at 1409 Main St. could be the beginning of the end for their idyllic neighborhood.
