‘I Want 100!’ Bucs’ Mike Evans Moving Toward ‘Elite Company’

Even after a decade of elite-level production, Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans doesn’t get the plaudits he deserves.

But in 2024, he could finally see some well-deserved recognition come his way with two records in sight for the five-time Pro Bowler.

Evans has a chance to tie Jerry Rice’s record for the most 1,000-yard seasons in NFL history and is also just six receiving touchdowns away from 100.

Managing to claim both of those would move Evans into rarefied air, and he knows it.

“I definitely want it to be 100 touchdowns,” Evans said . “Like only a certain amount of guys have those, I think it’s like 10 or 11 guys have that, so that’ll be elite company to do that, and obviously Jerry [Rice] one of the best to ever do it and have one of his records or tie it would be an amazing accomplishment for me. So I’m definitely going to for all those.”

So Evans has some individual accolades he’s chasing in 2024, and coming into his second season with Baker Mayfield, many expect the duo to hit the heights of last season.
