GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Two candidates are facing off this November for the open state House seat representing northeast Grand Rapids and portions of surrounding townships. Democrat Kent County Commissioner Stephen Wooden and Republican Jordan Youngquist are vying Nov. 5 for the state’s 81st House District seat currently held by outgoing state Rep. Rachel Hood, D-Grand Rapids.
