Lower humidity for now

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – Good Sunday morning everyone. A mild start to the day across the area. A cold front finally passed through the area, that has allowed for drier and somewhat cooler air to filter into the area overnight into this morning. Temperatures are in the 60s and low 70s, but dew points are falling through the 50s, making it feel pleasant outside.

Today we will see some clouds linger across the coast, we should still see a few peeks of sunshine, here and there, but for the most part, mostly cloudy skies will be present across the Grand Strand back towards Marion, Southern Florence and Williamsburg Counties. An isolated sprinkle or shower is possible later in the afternoon. As we get along and east of Interstate 95 into the border belt, partly cloudy skies will be the forecast.

High pressure will be centered to our north, so that will bring in a Northeasterly winds, that will keep our temperatures in check, as well as the humidity. Temperatures on Monday into Tuesday will be in the upper 70s to low 80s. As we get into Tuesday through Thursday, low pressure will slowly move off the coast. This will turn winds more out of the east. This will allow for more clouds, humidity and warmer temperatures to move into the area by Thursday.
