Search and rescue response deployed by Lake Ming, 2 subjects located by river: KCSO

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County Sheriff’s deputies were deployed to the Kern River on Sunday in response to a possible rescue.

At about 12:40 p.m., the Bakersfield Fire Department and Kern County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible rescue by the river in an area near Lake Ming. A search and rescue response was deployed in search of two male subjects who possibly lost their footing and were in the water.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office Watch Commander tells 17 News that two subjects were located in the area out of the water.
