According to a report from The Baltimore Sun, the incident was flagged by the ShotSpotter system, a network designed to detect and alert law enforcement to gunshots, around 10:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Bentalou Street, near Senator Troy Brailey Easterwood Park.
